High school students is the art studio

Drawings

The students were interested in the representation of faces. They used pen, pencil, photography and sculpture. Line, flatness, volume, shade/light/dark, framing and composition were explored from different angles.

Painting

The students worked on the theme of movement around the creative process and the represented subject.

They also worked on the theme of still life painting and explored the pictorial touch and color mixing.

Photo

The students worked on the technique of argentic photography and more particularly on the theme of urban space at night.

The students also worked on the technique of macro photography with an emphasis on straight lines and curves.

Pikachu

The students worked from certain constraints: project to be carried out in a group, in 6 hours, large format, 2 dimensions including a decorative motif. A guitarist Pikachu was born!

Sculpture

As a first step, the students developed a sculpture from pieces of wood and addressed the issue of assembly through the repetition of a shape. In a second step, they were introduced to photography in the studio. Thus, they gave a new dimension to the work from the play of light and shadow and framing.

The students also worked on the technique of folding and studied the invention and assembly of simple geometrical shapes in order to create a sculpture.
